who loves ya baby!
In the absence of that elusive card… here’s a little love from us!
Valentines Day can arrive with a lot of schmooze and pressure to love and be loved.
If you’re the romantic sort, wallowing happily in a pool of love and affection, it can be an exciting and wonderfully indulgent moment to celebrate with your chosen mate.
However, if your road to finding love is a little rockier, plagued with bumps, upsetting break-ups, or possibly just an allergy to flowers… then maybe not so much.
But, if we’re going to take on the gargantuan topic of love as our focus this month, we thought Valentines Day was probably as good a moment as any to kick off the conversation.
It was Telly Savalas in the 70’s who initially coined that searching question ‘Who loves ya baby?’
And it’s a good question. Who does love us? And should we also question, how much we love ourselves?
We recently came across a quote that said ‘loving yourself isn’t vanity – it’s sanity’ which sensibly suggests that investing time on ourselves, exploring what’s important to us and how we can be useful to others, is a good idea.So why not this Valentines Day, take a moment to pause and consider, who you are, what’s important to you, why it’s so important and what you can do about it?
There’s increasing evidence to suggest that continuous day to day decision-making might challenge all of these considerations through the relentless plethora of choices we need to make, in both our home and working lives.
Taking a moment to pause can therefore be a timely and valuable MOT, & welcome opportunity to tune yourself back to your original DNA ‘factory settings’ and show yourself a little love and care.
Alongside creating organisational balance, much of our coaching and consultancy is focused on just that, through the personal balance work we do with individual leaders and team members.
"I cannot thank you enough for the session and follow up document. I have left our interaction with such a renewed sense of purpose and focus for my career and next steps, so I am incredibly grateful’’

Call it self-love, call it professional development; it’s about supporting and working on ourselves as much as we support and work for others.
Exploring what we want to achieve and how we can play to our strengths and be useful to others is an investment, not only towards our own learning and development, but in helping us be at our best for others too.
If you feel a bit of self-love wouldn’t be a bad thing this Valentines, take a moment to read more on how we help clients create personal balance.
